When Elisabeth Bracher was born about 1777, in Bern, Switzerland, her father, Joseph Bracher, was 25 and her mother, Elisabeth Jordi, was 24. She married Jakob Neuenschwander on 14 October 1803, in Thunstetten, Bern, Switzerland. They were the parents of at least 5 sons and 4 daughters. She died on 31 December 1844, in Langnau im Emmental, Bern, Switzerland, at the age of 68, and was buried in Langenthal, Bern, Switzerland.
