Lars Ersson was born on 20 December 1800, in Bjuråker, Dalarna, Sweden as the son of Eric Larsson and Marit Andersson. He married Brita Nilsson on 6 June 1830. They were the parents of at least 3 sons. He died on 21 November 1889, in his hometown, at the age of 88.
