When Hannah Waters was born on 23 November 1730, in Sutton, Worcester, Massachusetts Bay Colony, British Colonial America, her father, Samuel Waters, was 26 and her mother, Rachel Holman, was 20. She married Rev Samuel Waldo on 21 November 1754, in Mansfield, Tolland, Connecticut, United States. They were the parents of at least 3 sons and 8 daughters. She died on 1 February 1818, in South Dover, Dover, Dutchess, New York, United States, at the age of 87, and was buried in Wingdale, Dover, Dutchess, New York, United States.

While the growth of the new nation was exponential, the United States didn’t have permanent location to house the Government. The First capital was temporary in New York City but by the second term of George Washington the Capital moved to Philadelphia for the following 10 years. Ultimately during the Presidency of John Adams, the Capital found a permanent home in the District of Columbia.

History: James Waters came from London, England, to Salem, MA, in 1630. Lawrence Waters came to Charlestown, MA, from Lancaster, England, in 1675.
