Bjorn Halvordsen Skeie was born in 1684, in Skeie, Mandal, Vest-Agder, Norway as the son of Halvor Rolfsen Skeie and Anna Knutsdotter Bakke. He married Siri Torjeisdatter Fister in 1711. They were the parents of at least 2 sons and 4 daughters. He died in 1741, in his hometown, at the age of 57.
