When Tevita Manuopangai was born about 1866, in Kolovai, Tongatapu, Tonga, his father, Finau Tangata'olakepa, was 11 and his mother, Akosita Tae Mā’atu, was 25. He married Pauline Manutu'ufanga Tangata'olakepa about 1890, in Tonga. They were the parents of at least 1 son. He died in 1938, in Nuku'alofa, Tongatapu, Tonga, at the age of 73.
