When Knud Nielsen was born on 13 October 1754, in Store Ørtoft, Sæby, Nordjylland, Denmark, his father, Niels Knudsen, was 42 and his mother, Maren Christensdatter, was 33. He died on 8 December 1766, at the age of 12, and was buried in Volstrup, Børglum, Denmark.

1762 · Old City Hall (Aalborg)

The Old City Hall was built in 1762 and served as the city hall until 1912. the Hall was modelled after the City Hall that was destroyed in the Copenhagen Fire in 1795. Today the building is used only for ceremonial and representative purposes.
