When Ake Samuelsson was born on 15 January 1803, in Huaröd, Gärd, Kristianstad, Sweden, his father, Samuel Torkelsson, was 30 and his mother, Elna Akesson, was 41. He married Cherstina Larsdotter on 18 February 1831. They were the parents of at least 1 son and 4 daughters. He died on 11 September 1854, in his hometown, at the age of 51, and was buried in Huaröd, Gärd, Kristianstad, Sweden.
