He married Phebe Slade on 7 February 1779, in Swansea, Bristol, Massachusetts, United States. They were the parents of at least 3 sons and 1 daughter. He lived in Connecticut, United States in 1840. He registered for military service in 1840. He died on 22 December 1840, in Pomfret, Windham, Connecticut, United States, at the age of 85, and was buried in Abington, Plymouth, Massachusetts, United States.

1776 · Fort Lee Built

Fort Lee was built in 1776. It is historic to the American Revolution but was also used during the War of 1812 and American Civil War. It is a unique design called earthwork meaning the fort is basically built out of a mound of dirt.

1781 · The First Constitution
