He married Charlotte Stevens on 21 October 1781, in Massachusetts, United States. They were the parents of at least 6 sons and 1 daughter. He lived in Pittsfield, Berkshire, Massachusetts, United States in 1800. He died on 27 September 1854, in St. Lawrence, New York, United States, at the age of 88, and was buried in Madrid, St. Lawrence, New York, United States.
