Brief Life History of John

When John Cochrane was born on 28 February 1811, in Rutherglen, Lanarkshire, Scotland, his father, James Cochran, was 27 and his mother, Lilias Allan, was 20. He married Jane Elizabeth Aitkens on 14 March 1834, in Bathurst Township, Lanark, Ontario, Canada. They were the parents of at least 2 sons and 8 daughters. He lived in Rutherglen, Lanarkshire, Scotland, United Kingdom in 1811 and Grattan Township, Renfrew, Ontario, Canada in 1871. He died on 22 January 1877, in Hastings, Ontario, Canada, at the age of 65.
