When Anna Elisabeth Pfenninger was born on 17 March 1776, in Stäfa, Zürich, Switzerland, her father, Hans Heinrich Pfenniger, was 26 and her mother, Regula Oetiker, was 16. She married Hans Jacob Schulthess on 3 February 1801. They were the parents of at least 3 sons and 3 daughters. She died on 17 March 1830, in Switzerland, at the age of 54.
