Sanders on 22 October 1840, in Chariton, Missouri, United States. They were the parents of at least 2 sons and 5 daughters. He lived in Kings Valley, Benton, Oregon, United States in 1860 and Oregon, United States in 1870. He died on 15 June 1906, in Dallas, Polk, Oregon, United States, at the age of 85, and was buried in Polk, Oregon, United States.

1821 · Financial Relief for Public Land

A United States law to provide financial relief for the purchasers of Public Lands. It permitted the earlier buyers, that couldn't pay completely for the land, to return the land back to the government. This granted them a credit towards the debt they had on land. Congress, also, extended credit to buyer for eight more years. Still while being in economic panic and the shortage of currency made by citizens, the government hoped that with the time extension, the economy would improve.

1830 · Louisville and Portland Canal Opens

The Louisville and Portland canal opened in 1830. It was a 2 mile canal. It helped with the barrier caused by the Falls of the Ohio River at Louisville by making a route around them.
