When Sallie Turner Mayes was born on 10 November 1884, in Wilson Township, Audrain, Missouri, United States, her father, Benjamin Franklin Mayes, was 39 and her mother, Udora Hamilton, was 24. She married John Peter Plybon in 1908. She died on 27 December 1908, at the age of 24.
