When Johannes Kristoffersen was born in 1683, in Tysvær, Rogaland, Norway, his father, Kristoffer Kristoffersen, was 23 and his mother, Marte Siversdatter, was 22. He married Marita Halvardsdatter about 1702, in Norway. They were the parents of at least 2 sons and 1 daughter. He died in 1746, at the age of 63.
