Elizabeth Ann Whittington was born in 1813, in Randolph, North Carolina, United States as the daughter of Thomas Whittington. She married Jesse Needham on 9 October 1828, in Guilford, North Carolina, United States. They were the parents of at least 5 daughters. She lived in Ashe, North Carolina, United States in 1850. She died in 1913, in Jefferson, Ashe, North Carolina, United States, at the age of 100.
