He lived in Bryan Township, Surry, North Carolina, United States in 1880 and Prathers Creek Township, Alleghany, North Carolina, United States for about 10 years. He died on 16 May 1922, in Alleghany, North Carolina, United States, at the age of 78, and was buried in Alleghany Township, Davidson, North Carolina, United States.
