When Fiti Na'asona ASUAO was born on 26 September 1859, in Matautu, Atua, Upolu, Samoa, his father, Na'osona Asuao, was 28 and his mother, Malae Tia'avaasu'e, was 28. He married Pule Afifimailagi Talauega on 4 February 1884, in Malaemalu, Samoa. They were the parents of at least 12 sons and 6 daughters. He died about 1917, in his hometown, at the age of 59, and was buried in Falealili, Samoa.
