When Dorthe Marie Mikkelsdatter Nielsen was born on 22 February 1838, in Agri, Mols, Randers, Denmark, her father, Mikkel Nielsen, was 37 and her mother, Dorthe Magrete Jensdatter, was 24. She married Niels Peder Jensen on 1 May 1857. They were the parents of at least 1 son and 3 daughters. She lived in Mols, Randers, Denmark in 1860 and Vistoft, Mols, Randers, Denmark in 1870. She died on 26 December 1891, in Vrinners, Rolsø, Kalø, Denmark, at the age of 53, and was buried in Agri, Kalø, Denmark.

1847 · Casino Theatre (Copenhagen)
The Casino Theatre was built as an entertainment center by Georg Carstensen but was converted into a theatre in 1848. After many years of never gaining popularity, it was closed in 1937 and demolished in 1960.

Denmark becomes a constitutional monarchy. A two-chamber parliament is established.

The Copenhagen Waterworks was the first waterworks in Denmark and served the community until 1951. It was one of the first buildings to be built outside Copenhagen's old city walls.
