He married Margretha Maria Elizabeth Albert on 28 December 1784, in Stouchsburg, Marion Township, Berks, Pennsylvania, United States. They were the parents of at least 3 sons. He lived in Washington, Maryland, United States in 1790. He died in 1821, in Virginia, United States, at the age of 56.
