Ann Whithead was born on 12 July 1778, in Saddleworth, Greater Manchester, England, United Kingdom as the daughter of Robert Whithead and Mary Whithead. She married John Redman on 6 April 1800, in Burnley, Lancashire, England, United Kingdom. They were the parents of at least 8 sons and 5 daughters. She died in February 1849, at the age of 70.
