When Mahitable Howes was born on 13 January 1794, in Ashfield, Hampshire, Massachusetts, United States, her father, Ezekiel Howes, was 30 and her mother, Rose Vincent, was 28. She married Theadorus Miller on 4 March 1819, in Middlebury, Wyoming, New York, United States. They were the parents of at least 4 sons and 5 daughters. She lived in Rome, Ashtabula, Ohio, United States for about 10 years. She died on 5 January 1871, at the age of 76.
