When Francisco Xavier Brás da Purificação de Almeida Correia de Sá was born on 2 February 1857, in Santa Engrácia, Lisbon, Lisbon, Portugal, his father, José Correia de Sá e Benevides Velasco da Câmara, was 26 and his mother, Eugénia de Jesus Maria de Todos os Santos de Almeida Soares Portugal de Alarcão Ataíde e Meneses, was 28. He died on 21 August 1918, in his hometown, at the age of 61.
