When Bengt Thostesson was born in November 1647, in Pärup, Skåne, Sweden, his father, Thoste Bondesson, was 32 and his mother, Thoste- Mrs Bondesson, was 28. He married Elna Åradsdotter about 1671. They were the parents of at least 2 sons and 3 daughters. He died on 31 March 1709, at the age of 61, and was buried in Torrlösa, Onsjö, Malmöhus, Sweden.
