When Fekisone Alolevave Lesa was born on 10 July 1883, in Saanapu, Samoa, his father, Lesā iā 'Alolevave Ma'ole, was 38 and his mother, Iva Vele Fekisone, was 8. He married Taeulavao Papalii Fonoti Fatu on 8 March 1919. They were the parents of at least 7 sons and 5 daughters. He died on 27 February 1935, in Lepa, Atua, Upolu, Samoa, at the age of 51, and was buried in Samoa.
