He lived in Civil District 5, Roane, Tennessee, United States in 1910 and Roane, Tennessee, United States in 1930. He died on 30 July 1938, in Rockwood, Roane, Tennessee, United States, at the age of 77, and was buried in Glen Alice Cemetery, Glen Alice, Roane, Tennessee, United States.

1862 · Battle of Shiloh

The battle of Shiloh took place on April 6, 1862 and April 7, 1862. Confederate soldiers camp through the woods next to where the Union soldiers were camped at Pittsburg Landing on the Tennessee River. With 23,000 casualties this was the bloodiest battle of the Civil War up to this point.
