When Anna Barbara Moosberger was born on 4 December 1758, in Oberglatt, Flawil, Sankt Gallen, Switzerland, her father, Josias Mosberger, was 53 and her mother, Anna Barbara Steiger, was 50. She married Johannes Diem on 7 June 1782, in Herisau, Appenzell Ausserrhoden, Switzerland. They were the parents of at least 9 sons and 5 daughters. She died on 23 August 1814, at the age of 55, and was buried in Switzerland.
