Harlan Page Brown was born on 2 June 1843, in Brandon, Rutland, Vermont, United States as the son of Erwin Hiram Brown and Sophia Ayer. He married Harriet Elizabeth Clifford on 20 November 1873, in Vermont, United States. They were the parents of at least 3 sons and 2 daughters. He lived in Middletown Springs, Rutland, Vermont, United States in 1880 and Rutland, Vermont, United States in 1920. In 1880, at the age of 37, his occupation is listed as farmer. He died on 16 November 1926, in Hubbardton, Rutland, Vermont, United States, at the age of 83, and was buried in Lakeview Cemetery, Hubbardton, Rutland, Vermont, United States.
