When Anders Olesen was born on 22 January 1728, in Sejlstrup, Børglum, Denmark, his father, Ole Albrechsen-Albertsen, was 42 and his mother, Anne Nielsdatter, was 30. He married Else Jensdatter on 12 November 1760, in Sejlstrup, Børglum, Denmark. They were the parents of at least 9 sons and 1 daughter. He died on 26 August 1817, at the age of 89.

1730 · Danish Asia Company

The Danish Asiatic Company was a trading company established to revive the dwindling Danish trade with the East Indies and China. It was taken over by the Danish government in 1772 and continued to run until around 1843.

1762 · Old City Hall (Aalborg)

The Old City Hall was built in 1762 and served as the city hall until 1912. the Hall was modelled after the City Hall that was destroyed in the Copenhagen Fire in 1795. Today the building is used only for ceremonial and representative purposes.
