When Kerstin Andersdotter was born on 28 June 1762, in Nordanåker, Dalarna, Sweden, her father, Anders Ersson, was 28 and her mother, Brita Matsdotter, was 22. She married Olof Tapp Larsson on 24 December 1786, in Malung, Kopparberg, Sweden. They were the parents of at least 5 sons and 5 daughters. She died on 21 February 1844, in her hometown, at the age of 81.
