When 'Isikeli Fainga'anuku Ngalu was born in 1898, in Ha'apai, Tonga, his father, Malakai Ngalu, was 29 and his mother, Funaki, was 25. He married Milika Lolohea from January 1919 to December 1919, in Pangai, Ha'apai, Tonga. They were the parents of at least 4 sons and 7 daughters. He died in 1955, in his hometown, at the age of 57, and was buried in Ha'apai, Tonga.
