When Beat Eschler was born on 15 June 1741, in Bern, Switzerland, his father, Michael Eschler, was 21 and his mother, Sarah Bühler, was 29. He married Susanna Scheiben on 10 November 1767, in Muri bei Bern, Bern, Switzerland. They were the parents of at least 3 sons and 2 daughters. He died on 14 March 1783, in Oberwil im Simmental, Bern, Switzerland, at the age of 41, and was buried in Oberwil im Simmental, Bern, Switzerland.
