When Anna Maria Oppliger was born on 3 October 1853, in Heimiswil, Bern, Switzerland, her father, Johannes Oppliger, was 24 and her mother, Elisabeth Luedi, was 21. She married Johannes Lüdi on 2 October 1874. She died on 12 July 1941, at the age of 87.
