When Tabitha Hazen was born in 1762, in Connecticut, United States, her father, John Hazen III, was 25 and her mother, Anna Landon, was 22. She married Nathaniel Abbe in 1790, in Windham Center, Windham, Windham, Connecticut, United States. They were the parents of at least 4 sons and 1 daughter. She died in 1851, at the age of 89.

1781 · British Forces Capture Fort Griswold

The capture of Fort Griswold was the final act of treason that Benedict Arnold committed. This would be a British victory. On the American side 85 were killed, 35 wounded and paroled, 28 taken prisoner, 13 escaped, and 1 twelve year old was captured and released.

1786 · Shays' Rebellion

Caused by war veteran Daniel Shays, Shays' Rebellion was to protest economic and civil rights injustices that he and other farmers were seeing after the Revolutionary War. Because of the Rebellion it opened the eyes of the governing officials that the Articles of Confederation needed a reform. The Rebellion served as a guardrail when helping reform the United States Constitution.
