She married Robert Musgrove Guthrey on 13 August 1835, in Walton, Georgia, United States. They were the parents of at least 4 sons and 2 daughters. She lived in Lookout, Walker, Georgia, United States in 1850 and Pond Spring, Walker, Georgia, United States in 1860. She died on 6 August 1861, at the age of 43, and was buried in Subligna, Chattooga, Georgia, United States.

The Missouri Compromise helped provide the entrance of Maine as a free state and Missouri as a slave state into the United States. As part of the compromise, slavery was prohibited north of the 36°30′ parallel, excluding Missouri.

1830 · The Second Great Awakening

Being a second spiritual and religious awakening, like the First Great Awakening, many Churches began to spring up from other denominations. Many people began to rapidly join the Baptist and Methodist congregations. Many converts to these religions believed that the Awakening was the precursor of a new millennial age.
