Gabriel Jørgensen was born in 1702, in Skårnes, Nordland, Norway as the son of Jørgen Gabrielsen. He married Susanna Povelsdatter on 14 January 1725, in Evenes kirke, Evenes, Nordland, Norway. They were the parents of at least 5 sons. He died in 1746, in his hometown, at the age of 44.
