When Sara Maria Beckstrand was born on 9 December 1776, in Boarp, Långaryd, Jönköping, Sweden, her father, Conrad Beckstrand, was 29 and her mother, Johanna or Juliana Johansdotter Barchman, was 32. She married Eric Petersson in 1794. They were the parents of at least 1 son and 1 daughter. She died on 21 April 1859, in Torpa, Östergötland, Sweden, at the age of 82.
