When Lord Edward Cromwell, 3rd Baron Cromwell of Oakham was born in 1559, in Putney, Surrey, England, his father, Henry Cromwell, 2nd Baron Cromwell, was 21 and his mother, Mary Paulet, was 18. He married Elizabeth Upton in 1581. They were the parents of at least 1 daughter. He died on 27 April 1607, in Downpatrick, County Down, Northern Ireland, United Kingdom, at the age of 48, and was buried in Downpatrick, County Down, Ireland.
