When Niels Johansen Jensen was born in 1791, in Nakskov, Sankt Nikolai, Lollands Nørre, Maribo, Denmark, his father, Hans Jacob Jensen, was 34 and his mother, Anne Margrethe Nielsdatter, was 34. He married Johanne Marie Nielsdatter on 2 January 1818, in Nakskov, Sankt Nikolai, Lollands Nørre, Maribo, Denmark. They were the parents of at least 4 sons. He died on 26 August 1829, in his hometown, at the age of 38.
