When Fernando Domingo de Aguirre Cisternas was born about 1726, in La Serena, Elqui, Coquimbo, Chile, his father, Fernando de Aguirre i Hurtado de Mendoza, was 60 and his mother, María Josepha Cisternas de la Fuente Villalobos Fuica i Pastene, was 37. He married María Antonia Quesada i Lerma in 1753, in La Serena, Elqui, Coquimbo, Chile. They were the parents of at least 7 sons and 3 daughters. He died in 1782, in his hometown, at the age of 57.
