He married Abigail Benedict on 26 October 1786, in Ballston Center, Saratoga, New York, United States. They were the parents of at least 9 sons and 3 daughters. He lived in Stillwater, Stillwater, Saratoga, New York, United States in 1790 and Pomfret, Chautauqua, New York, United States in 1820. He died on 4 February 1842, at the age of 72, and was buried in Martin Cemetery, Concord, Darke, Ohio, United States.
