He married Priscilla Young on 13 February 1826, in Lawrence, Kentucky, United States. They were the parents of at least 4 sons and 6 daughters. He lived in Adams, Ohio, United States in 1860 and Ohio, United States in 1870. He died on 18 February 1879, in Scioto, Ohio, United States, and was buried in Jack Town Cemetery, Jacksonville, Meigs Township, Adams, Ohio, United States.
