He married Selema Sile Penuafa about 1895, in Nofoalii, Samoa. They were the parents of at least 2 sons and 4 daughters. He died on 10 September 1916, in Nofoalii, Samoa, at the age of 39, and was buried in Nofoalii, Samoa.
