When Ingeman Borgquist was born on 21 August 1751, in Näs, Onsjö, Malmöhus, Sweden, his father, Torbjorn Nilsson, was 22 and his mother, Kaerstina Ingemansdotter, was 29. He married Margareta Sophia Winberg on 23 November 1781, in Vidtsköfle, Kristianstad, Sweden. They were the parents of at least 7 sons and 8 daughters. He died on 19 December 1814, at the age of 63.
