When Christen Kuenzi was born on 26 June 1767, in Oberdiessbach, Bern, Switzerland, his father, David Kuenzi, was 51 and his mother, Barbara Ochsenbein, was 44. He married Magdalena Keller on 19 November 1790, in Bümpliz, Bern, Bern, Switzerland. They were the parents of at least 4 sons and 4 daughters. He died in 1798, at the age of 31.
