Mafi was born in 1896, in Kolofo'ou, Tongatapu, Tonga. She married Setelo Unu about 1915, in Nuku'alofa, Tongatapu, Tonga. She died about 1976, in Ha'asini, Tongatapu, Tonga, at the age of 81, and was buried in Ha'asini, Tongatapu, Tonga.

Bangladeshi: from the personal name Mafi, based on maf ‘to forgive’, a Bengali word of Persian origin (see 2 above).
