When 'Akosita Folaumoheloa was born on 23 August 1912, in Neiafu, Vava'u, Tonga, her father, Hingano Folaumoeloa, was 17 and her mother, Kesaia Tuifua Manukafoa, was 38. She married Faaitu Katame Hafoka in 1930, in Nuku'alofa, Tongatapu, Tonga. They were the parents of at least 7 sons and 3 daughters. She died in 1970, in Nuku'alofa, Tongatapu, Tonga, at the age of 58.
