When Jöns Johansson was born in 1723, in Bårslöf, Luggude, Malmöhus, Sweden, his father, Johan Jonsson, was 36 and his mother, Anna Nielsson, was 32. He married Ingar Hansdotter on 13 November 1748, in Frillestad, Luggude, Malmöhus, Sweden. They were the parents of at least 10 sons and 8 daughters. He died on 20 November 1802, in his hometown, at the age of 79.
