When Guro Askjelsdotter Øyre was born in 1763, in Øyre, Kvinnherad, Hordaland, Norway, her father, Askjel Samsonsen Øyre, was 38 and her mother, Brite Pedersdatter Gjerde, was 34. She had at least 1 daughter with Torbjorn Olsen Nerhus. She died on 20 August 1840, in her hometown, at the age of 77.
