When Margaretha Bueckendorf was born on 27 December 1827, in Straberg, Neuss, Rhineland, Prussia, her father, Heinrich Reuben Bueckendorf, was 30 and her mother, Maria Anna Gertrudis Nix, was 30. She married Frederick Wolfe on 16 November 1858, in Osage, Missouri, United States. They were the parents of at least 4 sons and 4 daughters. She lived in Linn, Osage, Missouri, United States in 1880 and Linn Township, Osage, Missouri, United States in 1900. She died in 1904, in Osage, Missouri, United States, at the age of 77.

Being a second spiritual and religious awakening, like the First Great Awakening, many Churches began to spring up from other denominations. Many people began to rapidly join the Baptist and Methodist congregations. Many converts to these religions believed that the Awakening was the precursor of a new millennial age.
