Severin Magnus Iverson was born on 18 February 1863, in Inderøy, Nord-Trøndelag, Norway as the son of Iver Jenssen Qvistadplads and Olava Pedersdatter Rostad. He married Kirsten Alvilde Halvorsen on 13 December 1891, in Grand Forks, North Dakota, United States. They were the parents of at least 11 sons and 3 daughters. He lived in Bottineau, North Dakota, United States in 1920. He died on 26 April 1935, in Three Lakes, Snohomish, Washington, United States, at the age of 72, and was buried in Grand Army of the Republic Cemetery, Snohomish, Snohomish, Washington, United States.
